Raksul Co., Ltd. (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and Group CEO: Nagami Seo; hereinafter referred to as "the Company") has acquired all shares of Marutama Kogyo Co., Ltd. (Head office: Gifu City, Gifu Prefecture; Representative Director: Yamashita Yoshitaka; hereinafter referred to as "Marutama Kogyo"), which manufactures and sells original carrier bags, and Marutama Well Co., Ltd. (Head office: Gifu City, Gifu Prefecture; Representative Director: Yamashita Yoshitaka; hereinafter referred to as "Marutama Well"), which operates a business supporting employment for people with disabilities, and has signed a share transfer agreement with the aim of making them subsidiaries. Details are as follows.

Background and purpose of the share acquisition
Marutama Kogyo is based in Gifu City, Gifu Prefecture, and designs, manufactures, and sells original paper carrier bags. Marutama Well has been running a Type A business that supports continued employment for over 10 years, and has strengths in standardizing manufacturing operations and providing detailed support through the employment of people with disabilities.

Currently in Japan, the actual employment rate of people with disabilities in the information and communications industry, to which our company belongs, remains at 1.98%, below the overall average of 2.41%*.

Our company considers employee diversity from multiple perspectives, including gender, age, and the presence or absence of disabilities, and recognizes promoting the employment of people with disabilities as one of our important management issues.

Through the acquisition of shares in both companies, we intend to provide people with disabilities with employment opportunities within the group that are suited to their individual personalities and characteristics, such as having them take on part of our group's manufacturing functions, and to continue to work to promote diversity.

The objective of making both Marutama Kogyo and Marutama Well wholly owned subsidiaries is to achieve the following goals:

Improve customer value by strengthening manufacturing and sales functions:
Create synergies between the procurement platform business and the carrier bag sector, which has a high affinity with cardboard, a major category in the packaging materials sector.

Promoting employment support for people with disabilities within our group:
Expanding Marutama Well's track record and knowledge throughout the group to expand employment opportunities for people with disabilities

Going forward, we will strive to expand employment opportunities for people with disabilities as part of our efforts to promote diversity, while also creating synergies that make the most of our customer base to achieve further business growth.
