15 March 2025
India's TCPL Packaging has launched a new domestic greenfield facility in Vengal, near Chennai, a city within the state of Tamil Nadu. The new facility will specialise in the production of paperboard cartons and enhance the company's logistics and service capabilities.
This plant will also be important for the company’s growth, as it will allow faster deliveries and help meet the growing demand for sustainable packaging. The expansion boosts TCPL’s presence across India and is expected to support its long-term success.
TCPL has expertise in producing folding cartons, printed blanks and outers, litho-lamination, plastic cartons, blister packs, and shelf-ready packaging.
The Mumbai-based company has broadened its presence across all four regions of the country. According to the company's website, it has locations in Silvassa, Haridwar, Goa, Greater Noida, and Assam.
TCPL Packaging managing director Saket Kanoria said: “The commissioning of our Chennai greenfield facility marks a key milestone in our growth journey. This expansion augments our ability to serve customers in a high-potential market while supporting our long-term vision for scalability and industry leadership.
Packaging is the science, art, and technology of enclosing or protecting products for distribution, storage, sale, and use, encompassing the process of designing, evaluating, and producing packages.
The new plant will drive operational efficiency, improve service delivery, and further strengthen our position in the sustainable packaging industry. In December 2023, TCPL Packaging acquired the remaining share of its subsidiary, Creative Offset Printers (COPPL), from one of the promoters of COPPL.
TCPL Packaging Limited is one of India's largest manufacturers of folded cartons and one of the largest converters of paperboard in the country. TCPL is also an innovative player in the Indian flexible packaging industry.
