Thun, Switzerland – Hoffmann Neopac has received a binding offer for its Metal Division and is considering the sale of this business unit to a well-established international family-owned company with a strong presence in metal packaging.
The potential new owner would take over the production site in Dronten (The Netherlands), including all employees, and continue existing customer contracts. As part of the proposed transaction, production at the Thun site would be closed, affecting 75 employees.
Consultation process initiated
The potential sale is currently the subject of a three-week consultation process, which started today. During this period, the employee committee will have the opportunity to propose alternatives to the sale and/or closure of production at the Thun site in order to mitigate the impact on the affected employees.
Hoffmann Neopac is a Swiss family-owned company that produces packaging for a variety of products, including cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and food. The company was founded in 1890 and is headquartered in Thun, Switzerland.
Further information on the potential sale will be made available after the consultation process in mid-February 2025.
