Estimated Cost:

The Clondalkin Group’s Specialist Packaging Division has invested in extensive digital printing technologies to support its growing print and packaging product range for healthcare, publishing, financial services and other market applications. The multi-national packaging specialists Clondalkin Group believes increasing demands for cost efficient, fast turnaround, variable quantity, high quality and personalised printed literature can be optimally serviced with its expanded digital printing facilities. Clondalkin Specialist Packaging has significantly enhanced its digital capabilities by investing in two full colour presses (Xerox DC1000 and Xerox DC700) and two high-speed black and white presses (Xerox Nuvera 288). This technology combination represents the latest generation of digital printing equipment and adds an extra print capacity of over 10 million impressions per month. In addition, the company offers a full suite of binding and finishing in-house. Philip Murphy, Sales Director Clondalkin Specialist Packaging in Glasnevin, says the investment will enable the company to target businesses looking for high quality and fast turn-around for large and small volumes, all at very cost-efficient levels. He said: “The digital print solution we are offering provides our customers with the full print service and high-quality solutions on a made-to-measure basis. There is no print waste. Print re-runs are easily delivered. We can personalise the product and we deliver exactly what the customer needs, when it is needed. “This technology enables us to produce the highest quality products, on-demand and at low cost. Digital printing is now positioned to challenge litho printing on quality, with the added benefit of short-run flexibility. “These capabilities add a lot of value to a whole bunch of our customers including publishing houses, financial services, public sector and Government services, and direct mail marketing. All of these require fast turnaround and frequent design and content updates without sacrificing quality, which we are perfectly positioned to provide.” Clondalkin Specialist Packaging offers a full printing service and is a true one-stop shop, including: design, origination, electronic publishing, print finishing, data management, personalisation and fulfilment.
