Kite Packaging Invests £3.5 Million in Branch Expansion The growing Coventry site has sparked a recruitment drive which will double the telesales team Kite Packaging Group, the premium UK packaging supplier, has recently announced a huge investment in to its Coventry site. The £3.5 million deal has meant that the branch will expand from 69,000 sq. ft to 179,000 sq. ft - more than doubling the site that is home to KES (Kite Environmental Solutions), Kite Online, Midlands Sales, Telesales, Accounts, IT and HR departments. The investment is a huge milestone for the company, who are based in Torrington Avenue in Tile Hill, Coventry and have six other branches across the UK including Sheffield, Swindon, Plymouth, Portsmouth, Wantage and Harlow. The expansion has meant Kite now own the address next door to its current operation, the Alliance Trading Estate. The ownership of this estate is big news for the company who have been based in the Torrington Avenue building since 2007. The expansion is part of significant growth for the packaging company, where, as an employee-owned business, Kite has generated shareholder investment that has been regenerated back in to the business. Building work has already begun inside the units, which will be completely stripped back and refurbished in to modern office spaces and a second warehouse space for the Kite team. The warehouse space in particular will mean a more efficient packing and delivery operation from the company, who already offer free standard delivery on all online products, full service solutions such as JIT for branch customers and a next day delivery option on its website. The growth will also create a host of new job opportunities for the Midlands area, and already Kite Packaging has a recruitment drive underway, actively looking for staff to join its Telesales division. Kite Telesales began operation in February 2012 and has generated more than 2,000 new customer accounts in this year alone for the business; it has also become the heart of customer relationships and regularly receives positive feedback from happy customers. Kite Packaging is looking to double this team by January 2014, and interest in the roles, which offer a competitive salary and commission package, looks to be incredibly high.
