THE GENCORR STORY
Our story and history really started long before there was a company name, a logo or even a manufacturing facility. Our ownership group has over 70 years experience in the packaging business. From sales to operations they’ve held virtually every position in the industry.
But our roots really started in 1999, when Vince and Tom (see their individual stories below) started Genesis Packaging & Design in a small office in Itasca, IL from the ground up. Through the boom of the early 2000’s and then weathering some the challenges of the Great Recession, Genesis emerged stronger and more successful than ever. It eventually grew into a 145,000 sq ft facility in Lemont, IL before being purchased in 2011 by a Fortune 500 company.
After a few years leading the company through the purchase transition, and then a brief career sabbatical, Vince and Tom determined they still had more to offer the industry and their customers. As a result, GenCorr Packaging was born. Joined by Dave (who for years was the Operations Manager at Genesis) this time and a rock solid team, we have quickly built a reputation around quality products and an unrelenting focus on you the customer. Just as our mission promises.
