We’ve been at this since our birthday in 2005. Being part of the solution for the waste crisis is why we started our business, and it’s why we are committed to growing it – the more sustainable packaging replacing all that other not-so-great stuff, the better off our planet.

And what’s been keeping us going for all these years? A simple dream: to live in a world where packaging waste is no longer wasted. Where what we all may now consider ‘waste’ is actually respected as the valuable resource that it is and is re-purposed…until the end of time (dramatic maybe, but true!).

Our two ranges of eco packaging are designed to be a solution to eliminating the concept of packaging waste entirely. Sustain is made from sustainably grown renewable resources – you can’t get more circular than that. And Revive? It’s made from recycled plastic – new packaging made from old packaging. Pretty amazing, huh?

Imagine if after use, Sustain lives its purpose of becoming compost and Revive becomes recycled material, well, that’d result in no packaging waste at all!

Eureka! It’d be the elusive circular economy actually thriving. No more unnecessary extraction. No waste. No litter. No problem. It’s just like the system we created at the London 2012 Olympics (did you know we were the sole packaging supplier of 120 million pieces of compostable and recyclable packaging, ensuring it was all composted or recycled after use?).

Change can come from anywhere and everywhere. The way we see it, the real magic will happen when it’s not just us as a smattering of individuals, but Us as a movement for change. Together we are even better.

Seeing the big chains go sustainable is smashing, but it’s also the smaller shops that lead the charge for change. We work primarily with independent cafes, street food vendors, quick service restaurants, caterers, pubs…and why limit it? Really anyone who serves food or drink and cares about the environment while they’re doing it is welcome to join our London Bio Packaging family.

Often, our packaging is a business’ first step into sustainability. We work with our customers to help them find the best solution for their shop and offer our high quality packaging along with a suite of services that helps make it easy to go better.

Our planet is in crisis and that’s on all of us: every government, city, business, household, individual. All of us humans have a shared responsibility for not just reducing our impact, but to take part in building new, more productive, dare we say sustainable, systems.
