AboutTrack'em Pty Ltd

Like most start-ups that start from scratch, Track’em was an idea driven by determination to make something better and solve a problem.

Working on a mine site, I experienced first-hand the problems faced by project managers to monitor, control and use their resources (assets, materials, time) effectively. Loss of items and inefficient use of resources were delaying construction and causing cost blowouts and project over runs. The problem was waste. Wastage of people’s time, effort and money. Error prone, manual tracking systems were in place but in a time when you can ask your phone where to take you, using spreadsheets to manage millions of dollars’ worth of equipment seemed a bit archaic.

With my background in IT, and experience on mining and construction projects, I set about building a solution – Track’em (well, more like the distant cousin version). Over the next years, Track’em was improved and refined onsite with real end users, stakeholders and feedback from the industry. With the application of tracking technology, it pretty much works on mum’s principle that ‘there’s a place for everything and everything should be in its place’.

Most importantly, it became better at tracking and managing everything (assets, materials and progress) needed to get the job done.

I’m happy to say, our greatest achievements have been in reducing wastage of resources and honing a simple and effective solution.

While Track’em is a tech company, people are at the centre of what we do. Our team are exceptional performers who are committed to providing their best every day. They are behind the success of the company.

For our clients, we strive to innovate to add value to their projects. when we hear clients tell us that we helped them save $1.4 million dollars in few months (real story), we all have a ‘Yes’ fist bump moment (nerdy, I know!).

As the famous tech guru Einstein once said ‘A clever person solves a problem, a wise person avoids it’.
