Saica Group will return to Fruit Attraction 2026 with Saica Fresh, its integrated packaging offering for fresh produce, bringing together Saica Pack’s expertise in corrugated packaging and Saica Flex’s capabilities in flexible packaging and labelling, the company’s two packaging divisions. This year, Saica Fresh takes the concept one step further, presenting its solutions around the different stages in the life of fresh produce, from the field and preservation through to the point of sale and its subsequent integration into a circular economy.
From 6 to 8 October, at stand 7C24 in Hall 7 at IFEMA (Madrid), visitors will be able to discover how the needs of fresh produce evolve throughout its journey and explore packaging solutions adapted to each stage: The Field, Preservation, Point of Sale and Circular Economy.
The first phase, The Field, focuses on the beginning of the chain, where packaging needs to facilitate handling and transportation while protecting the product from the moment it is harvested. In Preservation, the focus shifts to maintaining freshness and quality for as long as possible, helping to extend shelf life and reduce food waste. At the Point of Sale, packaging also plays a key role in presenting, differentiating and adding value to the product in front of consumers. Finally, Circular Economy reflects Saica’s commitment to solutions that seek to reduce material use, improve recyclability and incorporate more sustainable alternatives.
This vision complements the integrated Saica Fresh offering, which combines products, technical expertise and innovation to address the specific challenges of each fresh produce category. The offering includes corrugated and flexible packaging solutions, as well as technical advice, format and process optimisation, and ongoing support.
“With Saica Fresh, we want to show that packaging plays a different, yet equally important, role at every stage of the fresh produce journey. From protecting the product in the field to helping preserve its quality, making it stand out at the point of sale or moving towards more circular models, the key is to find the right solution for every need,” says Miguel Angel Martinez, Marketing and Commercial Director at Saica Pack.
For his part, Miguel Angel Ibañez, National Accounts Director at Saica Flex, highlights that “combining our capabilities and expertise in corrugated and flexible packaging allows us to address the needs of fresh produce from a global perspective, developing solutions that balance protection, functionality, efficiency and sustainability. It is a truly 360 degree approach.”
The Saica Group’s presence at Fruit Attraction 2026 will ultimately demonstrate how a single value chain may require different solutions at each stage, and how combining the capabilities of Saica Pack and Saica Flex enables Saica to accompany fresh produce from field to table and beyond.
