Leading finishing specialist, A B Graphic International (ABG), has installed two new Vectra ECTR turret rewinders at Aztec Label, the Midlands-based manufacturer of high-quality self-adhesive label and tag products. The investment will help boost Aztec’s productivity following increased customer demand.

The turret rewinders, capable of delivering speedy and precise rewinding of standard self-adhesive labels, are the latest addition to the state-of-the-art setup at Aztec Label. As a long-standing customer, the company currently operates three ABG turret rewinders,increasing to five, providing them with the flexibility to run any job on any available machine, thereby ensuring that they can continue to meet challenging lead times.

Having begun manufacturing turret rewinders in 1995, ABG’s entry level ECTR is available in 330mm, 410mm or 510mm web widths, and has become the rewinder of choice for many self-adhesive label manufacturers. Perfect for increasing production speed and workflow efficiencies, the Vectra ECTR is also fully upgradable with a wide range of options, including automatic core loading, finished roll closure with print and apply label application, and ABG’s own fleyeVision 100% camera inspection system. Able to work in-line, or off-line as a stand-alone solution with a separate unwind module, Vectra turret rewinders offer shorter lead times, reduced inventory and cut waste.

ABG installed their 2000th Vectra ECTR rewinder last year at a privately owned label converter in the US. The landmark reflects ABG’s global reach and the excellent professional relationships they have developed with key customersover the years.
