Aniflex Invests in Hybrid Mark Andy Technology to Meet Evolving Market Demands
9 June 2026
More Variants and Greater Complexity
According to Maciej Wojtaszek, co-owner of Aniflex - one of Poland’s leading manufacturers of self-adhesive labels, shrink sleeves, and flexible packaging – the visual appearance of labels has not changed dramatically in recent years. Brand owners continue to prioritize consistency and strong product recognition, ensuring that packaging evolution remains familiar to consumers.
What has changed significantly, however, is the scale of product variation. “Within a single product category, we now see far more flavor, functional and language variants,” says Maciej Wojtaszek. “One product may exist in multiple graphic versions, with each version additionally produced in several language adaptations. This directly increases the number of SKUs and adds complexity throughout the production process.”
Production Built Around Flexibility
The growing number of SKUs has significantly increased the complexity of production planning and execution. Thanks to its extensive experience in digital printing, Aniflex is well prepared for these challenges. “Our customers expect flexibility above all else,” explains Maciej Wojtaszek. “The market increasingly requires an ability to produce multiple short-run versions alongside higher-volume jobs, while maintaining consistent quality and reliable delivery performance.”
He also emphasizes that today’s quality standards go far beyond achieving a single successful print run: “The real challenge is maintaining the same level of quality, color consistency and finishing repeatability across every repeat order and every batch. Predictable quality is essential because it builds customer confidence, supports production planning, and strengthens long-term business relationships. The new Mark Andy press plays a significant role in helping us achieve this.”
Technology Investment as Part of Long-Term Strategy
The decision to implement Mark Andy Digital Series HD HighSpeed 1200 was part of a clearly defined long-term development strategy. “We see technology investments as a natural step in building a stable, scalable and future-ready organization,” says Maciej Wojtaszek. “New solutions and continuous expansion of our production capabilities are direct responses to market expectations. Our objectives are greater process control, operational stability, and predictable quality.”
According to Aniflex’s co-owner, the new hybrid press supports these goals by providing greater production control, improved operational consistency and enhanced process reliability.
Scalability Through Advanced Hybrid Technology
The expansion of Aniflex’s production platform is also helping the company scale more efficiently. Advanced technologies such as the new Mark Andy hybrid press allow for faster job changeovers, higher productivity, and simultaneous execution of multiple projects. “Thanks to this investment, we can respond more effectively to increasing order volumes and changing customer expectations while maintaining the quality standards our clients require,” says Maciej Wojtaszek.
A Deliberate Choice of Hybrid Production
The selection process for the new press included extensive analysis and testing, both in demonstration centers and at printing sites across Europe. “Technology stability was one of the most important criteria for us,” explains Maciej Wojtaszek. “Aniflex already had experience with both flexo printing using Mark Andy equipment and inkjet technology. Combining these two technologies into a single hybrid platform proved to be an optimal solution for our business.”
Integrated Production for Greater Stability
Mark Andy’s hybrid technology combines multiple printing processes within one integrated system, simplifying production workflows. “Reducing a number of production stages and eliminating need to transfer semi-finished products between separate machines significantly lowers risk of errors, minimizes downtime and improves overall process stability,” says Maciej Wojtaszek.
Implementation of a new technology has also included operator training, skills development and gradual expansion into increasingly complex applications: “The Mark Andy hybrid press is now being introduced into more advanced production work that utilizes the full capabilities of the platform,” he adds. “Ultimately, it will operate in a two-shift production environment and support greater optimization across our entire production department.”
Supporting Customers Beyond Printing
Maciej Wojtaszek emphasizes that the Aniflex’s role extends beyond label production itself. The company supports customers throughout the entire process - from design consultation to final application performance on packaging lines. Before production begins, Aniflex evaluates projects, recommends adjustments, selects appropriate consumables and technologies, and considers the operating parameters of customers’ production lines.
“We aim to be a reliable long-term partner for our customers,” says Maciej Wojtaszek. “Achieving this requires innovative tools such as the new Mark Andy press. Consistent application performance depends not only on selecting the appropriate materials and maintaining strict quality control, but also on ensuring highly repeatable production parameters during printing.”
Long-Term Technology Partnership
Maciej Wojtaszek adds that the relationship between Aniflex and Mark Andy has developed into a long-term technology partnership focused on continuous improvement and operational support: “Beyond the technology itself, one of the greatest values of working with Mark Andy is access to expertise, implementation support, press customization and responsive after-sales service. Fast technical and after-sales support is extremely important for maintaining uninterrupted production. Training and ongoing development of our team are equally valuable. This collaboration helps us maintain production stability while continuously developing our technological capabilities.”
Stability, Scalability and Future Growth
The implementation of Mark Andy hybrid press represents another milestone in Aniflex’s strategy focused on digital transformation, operational stability, and long-term competitiveness. “In today’s rapidly changing label market, the ability to manage complexity, maintain consistent quality over time and scale production flexibly is one of the key success factors,” concludes Maciej Wojtaszek.
Przemysław Polkowski, Director of Mark Andy Poland says: “Aniflex consistently demonstrates that the future of the industry belongs to companies that successfully combine technology, expertise and partnership into one cohesive production ecosystem. We are proud to support this fast-developing Polish converter with technologies that contribute to its continued growth and development.”
