PRESS RELEASE

Dantex and Ricoh USA create strategic partnership to accelerate digital label growth across North America

Synopsis:
Dantex Group has partnered with Ricoh USA to offer its Pico digital label printing portfolio across the United States and Canada. The collaboration combines Dantexโ€™s label technology with Ricohโ€™s production print expertise, helping commercial printers enter label production and converters expand digital operations. The portfolio includes PicoColour 254 and PicoJet 1200 DRS, supporting scalable production, finishing and workflow automation.

Dantex Group has signed a strategic agreement with Ricoh USA, Inc., a leading integrator of print manufacturing and automation, under which Ricoh will offer the entire Dantex Pico lineup as part of its production print portfolio across the United States and Canada. The move significantly expands Dantex’s reach in this important label printing market while enabling Ricoh to broaden its offering with scalable label printing solutions that help customers differentiate and grow their business.

The agreement brings together Dantex’s specialist digital label technology and more than 60 years of industry expertise with Ricoh’s extensive presence and leadership in production print characterised by innovations in inkjet, colour management, and workflow automation. It will enable commercial printers to diversify into label production while helping established converters scale their digital operations.

The portfolio includes the revived PicoColour 254, a modern evolution of Dantex’s successful entry-level press, providing a scalable route into digital and hybrid production. Available with Dantex’s compact integrated finishing system or the advanced GM DC350 finishing unit, it can be transformed from a roll-to-roll press into a complete roll-to-hybrid platform with integrated inline finishing. It sits alongside the flagship PicoJet 1200 DRS, whose Dynamic Resolution System uses patented technology to extend tonal range, reproduce fine detail and deliver smooth gradients without sacrificing production speed.

Ricoh will work consultatively with customers to assess application demand, outsourced work, workflow, finishing, automation, capacity and return on investment. This will help businesses to understand where a Dantex label printing solution fits within their existing production environment, as well as identify suitable work to bring in-house and develop new applications and revenue streams.

Dantex CEO, Ben Danon, said: “This partnership represents a significant milestone in Dantex’s growth strategy and a major endorsement of the Pico platform. Ricoh’s scale, market presence and infrastructure will bring our technology to a much wider audience across North America.

“The label industry continues to evolve rapidly, with increasing demand for shorter runs, faster turnaround and greater production flexibility. Together, we are exceptionally well positioned to help customers capitalise on these opportunities and accelerate the adoption of digital label printing throughout the region.”

The agreement builds on a longstanding technical relationship, with Dantex having incorporated Ricoh inkjet technology into its purpose-built digital label platforms for many years.

Andrew Vecci, Director, Product & Portfolio Management, Ricoh North America, added: “At Ricoh, we focus on helping customers identify and capitalize on new growth opportunities while building a path to long-term operational success. Combining Dantex’s specialist label expertise with Ricoh’s consultative approach characterized by our technology and solutions portfolio, integration capabilities, workflow experience, and support resources, together we can help customers determine how digital label production fits within their overall operation and provide a scalable, productive and commercially focused solution that enables them to expand applications, enhance output and drive profitable and sustainable growth.”

Dantex will exhibit at LOUPE Americas 2026 in Chicago from 15-17 September on booth 6415, where visitors can learn more about the Pico range and the new relationship with Ricoh USA. Dantex will also preview PAL - Pico Adaptive Logic - its AI-powered operator support system, ahead of its official launch in early 2027. Following LOUPE, Dantex representatives will join Ricoh at PRINTING United Expo in Las Vegas from 23-25 September, where they will be available on the Ricoh booth, N6169, in the North Hall & Central Hall - Level 1.
