Dai Nippon Printing Co., Ltd. has successfully upgraded the materials and processing methods of its single-material sheets used for product packaging, achieving repulpability above 85% 1 .

In 2022, we developed an environmentally friendly packaging sheet with high barrier 2 properties that prevents the transmission of oxygen and water vapor as a packaging material for food, cosmetics and medical products. At the same time, the use of single-material paper promoted greater recyclability.

Development

In recent years, as an indicator of eco-compatibility of the recyclability of paper packaging, in Europe and the United States attempts have been made to improve the recycling effect of paper as a renewable resource, increasing its repulpability to over 80%.
