Fiber Cement Building Products Manufacturer Allura Selects UFPI as New Distributor in Southern California/Arizona Markets

HOUSTON, Nov. 1, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Due to an increase in demand for its siding and trim products, Allura is adding two affiliates of Universal Forest Products, Inc. – UFP Chandler, LLC in Arizona and UFP Riverside, LLC in Southern California -- to its growing distribution network.
According to Allura CEO, Bob Musselman, Allura chose the UFP companies because of their strong relationships with independent lumber dealers in the region that will give Allura the footprint it needs to better serve the area's building communities.
Joe McGuire, Vice President of Universal's Far West region, agrees. "We are excited to become the supplier for Allura siding in the Arizona and Southern California markets. We are the leading supplier in the siding and trim categories today and Allura is a great fit because it aligns with many of the market segments we supply and because of the many synergies between our companies."
Allura is part of Elementia, an international company which produces building materials for the construction sector through cement, building systems and metals divisions in nine countries throughout the Americas.
Allura's customers include homebuilders who use its fiber cement building products in new home construction and remodeling. Those products include natural-looking siding, shakes and shingles, panels and soffit available as an alternative to wood, vinyl and other traditional building materials that are prone to damage from hail, termites, rot, fire and manufacturing defects. Its products stand up to weather conditions in any climate, are factory primed, are fire and insect resistant and never fade, peel or chip. They also are backed by an industry-leading 50-year warranty.
Headquartered in Grand Rapids, Mich., with facilities throughout North America, Australia, Europe and Asia, Universal Forest Products, Inc. (Nasdaq: UFPI) is a holding company whose affiliates serve the retail, construction and industrial markets. Those affiliates are strategically positioned to deliver a wide variety of products to nationwide retailers that cater to both consumers and contractors.
