InventHelp Inventor Develops Automated Log Lift for Log Splitters (CMS-101)

12 December 2018

PITTSBURGH, Dec. 12, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- While conventional log splitters provide needed help for processing heavy logs, getting the logs onto the unit is physically demanding. Fortunately, an inventor from Chesterland, Ohio, has found a way to lighten the load.

He developed a prototype for CABLE POWERED LOG LIFT to eliminate the need for an operator to manually lift logs onto it, reducing back strain and related discomfort. At the same time, it saves the expense of a dedicated hydraulic actuator and its associated lines, fittings, and controls. Besides saving money, time and effort, it is efficient and easy to operate and maintain. In addition, this novel accessory is safe, convenient, effective and affordably priced.

The inventor's personal experience inspired the idea. "I have back problems that make it difficult and painful to lift heavy loads and needed an easier way to move heavy logs," he said.

The original design was submitted to the Cleveland office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
