UK-based labelling and sleeving specialist Sovereign Labelling Machines (Sovereign) has extended its sales and support network with the appointment of John Walsh to its growing team.
John started his career in labelling and coding in 1999. Over the previous 25 years, he has worked in a variety of roles for various respected names in the industry. In his new machinery sales role with Sovereign, John will focus on supporting customers in the north of England and throughout Scotland.
He said: “Sovereign’s bespoke systems provide the perfect solution for any brand or co-packer needing to improve their production capabilities. I’m looking forward to working with existing customers and helping new clients with all their labelling and sleeving requirements.”
John’s appointment complements and supports that of Jordan Hynes, who joined Sovereign as Business Development Manager in August 2024 and who is now nearing a decade working in the labelling solutions supply chain.
Jordan now has responsibility for the south of England and Wales. He also remains the main point of contact for Sovereign’s OEM partners.
Thomas Glendinning, Sovereign’s Managing Director, has responsibility for Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. He is also developing Sovereign’s presence in international markets, alongside Jordan.
“We have big growth ambitions and are well on our way to being the number one supplier of labelling and sleeving solutions in the UK. We are also expanding our working relationship with OEM partners and supplying an increasing number of systems into international markets,” noted Thomas.
“These ambitions can only be fulfilled by having the right team in place. With John and Jordan, we have two experts in the field of bespoke labelling solutions, who will fuel not only our own growth but also that of our customers.”
Thomas, Jordan, and John will be on hand at the PPMA Total Show 2025, where Sovereign is exhibiting on Stand G10 and showcasing a turnkey solution that demonstrates the full breadth of its capabilities – from precision bottle conveying and accurate label application to tamper-proofing using neck sleeves.
