A solid corrosion-resistant MIG wire for welding austenitic stainless alloys of the 18% Cr -8% Ni and 18% Cr -10% Ni -3% Mo types. This Stainless Steel wire has good general corrosion resistance particularly in acid and chlorinated environments. This alloy has a low carbon content and is highly recommended when intergranular corrosion is a risk.Welding properties such as wetting are improved as a result of the higher silicon content.ESAB Autrod 316LSi is suitable for use in the food processing / chemical industries and general applications which necessitates this type of alloy.
