DS Smith has announced a €25 million investment in its packaging operations in Poland, with €22 million allocated to the expansion and modernization of its packaging facility in Kielce. The investment includes the installation of advanced production equipment to enhance automation, efficiency, and manufacturing capacity. Additional investments at the company’s Bełchatów and Sosnowiec facilities will further strengthen sustainable packaging production capabilities across Poland.

The company has invested €22 million of the total €25 million into expanding our packaging plant in Kielce, enhancing it with high-quality machinery.

The new machinery, including a Bobst Masterline 2.1 die-cutter, improves automation and precision in the Flexography department.
They have also added a new production line for the DS Smith Easy Bowl solution for fresh food at our Belchatów packaging plant and invested in machinery at our Sosnowiec plant to produce sustainable, fibre-based paper bags for the eCommerce sector.
These investments are set to increase our annual packaging production capacity in Poland by about 25 million square metres and glued boxes by 7.5 million square metres. Our focus remains on sustainable, circular packaging solutions, prioritising plastic elimination and CO2 reduction.
