Jowat AG is supplying a comprehensive product range of adhesives for bonding packaging materials. This product portfolio is completed by two new hot melt adhesives based on polyolefins for bonding cartons and folding boxes. Jowat-Toptherm® 256.91 and Jowat-Toptherm® 256.92 are adhesives especially conceived for the manufacture of cartons and folding boxes. Their performance parameters were to a large extent optimized to match the existing line speeds, and in consequence to support especially high-speed packaging lines in the carton and folding box production. With these innovative adhesive formulations, high green strength values are reached more rapidly than is usually the case. Both products can therefore be successfully processed on high-speed lines with pressing times of less than 1 second. Jowat-Toptherm® 256.91 and Jowat-Toptherm® 256.92 are compatible with all standard application systems. The accurate cutoff from the applicator – especially with nozzle systems and high feed speeds – almost totally eliminates stringing, and clearly reduces any necessary cleaning of the machinery. Down times for cleaning the soiled parts are practically eliminated. Both adhesives exhibit a good level of heat resistance, the oxidation and colour stability in the melt are both superior. Jowat-Toptherm® 256.92 is the expert for chilled packaging. The bondline remains flexible, even at low temperatures.
