Introduction:

Saica Group, a leading European producer of recycled paper for corrugated packaging, has begun building its second Saica Pack plant in the United States with an investment of $110 million.

Features:

The new plant, covering nearly 350,000 square feet, has been designed with future expansion in mind. Once operational, it will produce over 1.2 million MSF of corrugated packaging annually. The facility will be connected to a railway line, helping reduce paper roll transport by road. Additionally, it will function as a backup site for Saica Pack’s existing plant in Hamilton, Ohio, to enhance supply chain reliability.

This development aligns with Saica’s long-term growth strategy, which includes plans to invest approximately $800 million in the U.S. over the coming years.

During its initial two years of operation, the plant is expected to create more than 50 full-time jobs, with the potential to exceed 100 positions when it reaches full capacity.

The new facility is scheduled to begin operations in the fourth quarter of 2026.
