For 35 years Flextex has long been regarded as one of the longest established and largest Polythene Converters in the UK. Based in the North West of England Flextex has operated out of its existing premises for the last 20 years.

For the last three years, Rick Tarn and Andy Tucker have had sole responsibility for the day to day business activities and have continued to grow the business. In October 2019 Rick and Andy completed a management buyout deal with Mark Davenport and are now the sole directors of Flextex Limited. Rick started at Flextex since 1989 and was originally employed to commission and operate the first automated machine. Since then his knowledge of all Flextex’ conversion machinery has become unrivaled and now Rick has full responsibility for the entire production plant.

Andy joined the company in 2010 and was employed as Finance Manager however as the business evolved so did Andy’s role before being promoted to General Manager in 2015.​ Rick and Andy’s vision is to continue to develop existing customer links whilst welcoming new business but keeping the main company focus on manufacturing excellent quality polythene products at competitive prices whilst working with customers to offer solutions on how they may be able to supply more Eco Friendly products.
