Layford Contract Packers was established in 1991. Since then we have kept investing and developing so we can continue to provide some the best food contract packing services facilities in the UK.

We continually improve the facilities in the factory, and as a result we are proud to operate the most up to date co packing equipment in the UK, including Ishida/Yamato Multihead Weighers, Bosch/Sandiacre bagging machines, 4-way split weighers, Rose Forgrove flow wrappers, Inline metal detectors/checkweighers and more.

We value our staff and are proud to have many long-serving members with over 10 years’ experience at Layfords. As a result we can quickly trouble shoot project complications and can help clients to develop their packing requirements, adding value along the way.

Sage 200 track and trace

In 2011 we implemented a Sage 200 Manufacturing System and had the module bespoke designed to include a full inventory system, full traceability, product recall and bar code labelling so that we can see up-to-the-minute stock usage output and what has been despatched. And through an interface device we can now send our customers EDI messages on impending deliveries.

Temperature controlled environments

In 2010 we installed air conditioning units in all areas to keep the warehouse and factory at a regulated temperature.

And in 2006, as recognition of attention to detail, we were granted M&S site approval.

If we know exactly what is going on at all times, our clients have all the more reason to entrust us with their outsourcing projects. But while it is part of the way we operate to closely monitor every aspect of operations, it is not only to ensure standards but also to allow us to see where improvements can be made.
