We are thrilled to announce that our Slovenian design team has once again received the highest recognition in the packaging industry - the prestigious Slovenian Packaging Oscar!

This award was given for our excellent packaging solution, "Protection for Car Wheel Carriers," designed by our packaging designer, Miha Toplišek. With its well-thought-out design, the packaging solution enables the packaging of heavier industrial products. In addition to using renewable materials, it stands out for its optimal space utilisation, easy assembly, and the possibility of reuse or recycling after use.

Award-Winning Packaging Designs
Two of DS Smith's innovative designs, both replacing plastic inserts with sustainable materials, made it into the top five nominees.

With this success, DS Smith Slovenia has reaffirmed its leading role in developing innovative and environmentally friendly packaging solutions from renewable materials. The award serves as a great motivation for our continued work in this field.

In addition to the winning entry, the "Universal Protection for Household Blenders" design by Miha Krnc was also nominated. Both innovatively replace protective inserts made of styrofoam with sustainable corrugated cardboard solutions, aligning with our commitment to circular economy principles.

We are extremely proud to have two packaging solutions among the top five Oscar nominees. This is a testament that we are on the right path in developing sustainable packaging from renewable sources, following circular economy principles.
