Block bottom pouches have a long history. These were originally paper stand-up pouches and were used as flour or sugar sacks in the grocery shops that opened in the Netherlands at the end of the 19th century. These are generally used for dry products, because paper block bottom pouches only have limited barrier properties. When you need a good barrier for your product we recommend Box pouches.
