Hot stamping or cold foils can be used to generate metallic surfaces on tobacco, cosmetics, liquor or confectionery packaging.

The problem: These finishing techniques are often expensive and time consuming. The foils must usually be applied in an extra work step. And they put a great deal of stress of the production tools. Our WESSCO® POLAR Silver Coating is a cost-effective alternative. The UV-curing or solvent-based coating creates a brilliant surface with a mirror effect and is applied inline during the printing process. What's more, it can be overprinted with transparent chromatic inks to create attractive colour effects.
