One of the most impressive and for long dominating inventions is the sealless joint, patented on TITAN in the 1950’sAt that time cotton was shipped to Europe for its further processing. The cotton was pressed to bales and strapped with steel strap. Upon opening of the seals in Europe it happened frequently that seals got lost in the cotton and created damages to the downstream machinery. The TITAN sealless joint eliminated the seals and solved this problem.

Now, after more than half a century, the TITAN sealless joint is still one of the most relevant sealing methods for steel strap. The TITAN sealless joint is easy to perform either by a handy tool or a compact strapping head. The sealing process is quite fast and takes only a very short time.

Obviously, the TITAN sealless joint doesn’t require any seals. That means, less sealing equipment is needed, making the sealing process more robust and there are considerable savings on seals.
