Amcor, a global leader in responsible packaging solutions, has started an expansion project at its flexible packaging manufacturing facility in Dongguan, China. The investment is aimed at increasing production capacity, enhancing supply chain resilience, and strengthening the company’s manufacturing network in South China.

The expansion includes the construction of a 7,000-square-metre manufacturing facility and an automated warehouse, increasing the Dongguan campus to more than 38,000 square metres.
The project is designed to boost production capacity and improve supply chain resilience in one of South China’s key industrial hubs.
The upgraded facility will incorporate automated solvent-free laminators, high-speed bag-making machines, and automated bag arranging systems to support intelligent and sustainable manufacturing.
The new technologies will improve operational efficiency while supporting the production of recycle-ready flexible packaging for food, home care, and personal care applications.
Construction of the expansion project is scheduled for completion by July 2027.
