Historical review

Founded in 1980, the Jorge E. Jaramillo y Cia company was born as a family business whose only members were Ing. Jorge Eduardo Jaramillo Villegas (founder) and his wife Olga Lucía Hurtado. He started as a Representative of the Howe Richardson brand, a specialist in weighing and packaging solutions. Two years later, due to the growth of the business, the hiring of personnel began. At the beginning of the 90s, it was decided to integrate its own engineering and design process to respond to the needs of the market. This capability allowed us to provide our customers with better tailor-made solutions in weighing, packaging, and solids handling. Towards the year 1992 we began our internationalization with the sale of a dosing system to Kuwait. Since this, we have expanded our sales more than 14 countries between South and North America. In 2010, a vertical integration to the metalworking process was carried out in order to achieve greater quality and cost control. In 2011, the Pesa Pack brand was born in order to communicate our specialty in weighing and packaging solutions. Since then, this brand has achieved an important position in the national and international market. In 2013 the first export to the United States was made, this being a Big Bag filling system. Currently, Jorge E. Jaramillo y Cia, is consolidated as a leading company in the national market, which is at the forefront in the development of solutions tailored to our clients. By 2020 we will have a new headquarters where we will double our installed capacity.
