Product Identification Co.

Product Identification Co., Inc. (PIC) was originally established as K & N Nameplate, Inc. in 1964. The company’s main focus was producing etched aluminum nameplates for OEMs and military subcontractors. Over the years, silk screening, hot stamping and finishing operations such as die-cutting and laminating were added. This enabled the company to produce products such as graphic overlays, decals and roll labels.

K & N Nameplate, then doing business as Product Identification Co., was acquired in 2001. Under new ownership, PIC invested heavily in technology including wide-format digital printing. Additional acquisitions were made including Koehler Industries (2005), Micro Steel Rule Die (2006) and Alumigraphics (2007). The companies were consolidated and eventually moved to our current 20,000 square foot plant location in Garfield, NJ in 2010.

PIC is a recognized supplier to the Department of Defense under Cage Code 8T775 and we have Blanket Purchase Agreements with multiple military institutions. In addition, we are a Certified Supplier to BAE Systems.

Due to our many production capabilities and extensive experience we have become a trusted partner in coming up with creative solutions for our end-user customers and our network of print brokers and reps.
