Holographic barcode

The holographic barcode was developed within the framework of the state scientific and technical program "Document Security" State Scientific Institution "Institute of Physics named after B.I. Stepanov of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus ”jointly with the educational institution“ Belarusian State University ”, JSC“ HOLOGRAPHIC INDUSTRY ”and the RUE“ Minsk Printing Factory ”of Goznak. Since April 2010, all consignment notes in the Republic of Belarus are protected by a holographic barcode .

The introduction of a special barcode into the hologram allows for semi-automatic identification of the authenticity of the product it protects.

The verification process is very simple: we press a button on the device, swipe the reader over the hologram, and after a few seconds, the information that was encrypted in the holographic elements of the barcode is displayed on the PC monitor . If the correct set of symbols appears on the monitor, the product and the hologram are respectively original. In case of a fake, the inscription "No code" is displayed. The existing technology makes it possible to encode up to 8-10 characters simultaneously .
