THE BACKGROUNDS

Despite all the intensive efforts and constant research by the packaging manufacturers, the consumer actually only has one image in mind when he thinks of packaging: the mountains of rubbish that result from it. According to the Federal Environment Agency, around 70% of all packaging in Germany was recycled in 2019 - for paper and cardboard it was even around 87.6%. The resulting packaging waste is - not least due to the increasing online trade - at a record high of 18.72 million tons. And the rest of the packaging still ends up in landfills or is used for energy recovery.

Admittedly, the reservations about packaging among end consumers are not entirely unjustified. Because packaging that is produced unnecessarily or cannot be recycled harms our consumption of raw materials and our environment in general. And with the zeitgeist of the consumer , the needs of our customers naturally also change : from jewelers and suppliers from other sectors.

In addition to reducing the materials used and using positive, certified products, we have therefore also made it our task to increase the proportion of recycled packaging in our range. The result is genuine recycling packaging throughout – 100%! And not one that says recycling, but actually only a minimal proportion of the materials used come from recycled products. So let’s get straight to the recycling materials…
