PFF has invested in leading-edge, innovative, thermoforming machine process technology for the manufacture of IMPAC-T packaging.
IMPAC-T is produced from rPET – giving UK food sector industries an opportunity to switch from traditional polypropylene to circular economy packaging.
It’s a ground-breaking, fully recyclable composite pack that is suitable for dairy and an array of other food products.
Investment in Cutting-Edge Machine Process Technology
It’s a momentous time for PFF, as we take delivery of cutting-edge machine process technology at our Sedgefield site. It will be used to manufacture IMPAC-T, PFF’s new circular economy food packaging concept.
IMPAC-T uses less plastic than equivalent PET packaging and makes increased use of post-consumer recycled (PCR) materials.
The card and plastic can be easily separated by the consumer, leaving both components easy to sort for reprocessing at Home Waste Recovery Centres.
PFF’s design and graphics studio can produce branded card wrap that makes a product truly stand out on the shelf.
IMPAC-T Packaging Credentials
- Unique 86mm & 95mm card-wrap pack.
- Plastic: minimum 50% post-consumer recycled PET with the ability to reach 100%.
- Card: up to 100% post-consumer waste with any virgin content sourced from certified sustainable forestry.
- Not subject to the Plastic Packaging tax.
