 GRANITEN FLEXLINE PACKAGING PLATFORM

Graniten’s Flexline packaging platform is a fully integrated game changing packaging line, focusing on global trends, enabling a batch size one production. The platform gives you the ability to react swiftly to changing industry and market needs by allowing new modules to be added when needed without new costly investments.

It also offers a small footprint, as only the modules needed for a particular application are installed. These can be configured based on available floor space and other requirements. Thus, it is scalable and upgradeable, providing you with a cost-effective solution over the lifespan of the line, as modules can be added or removed in the future without affecting the performance of the line.

BLOW FILL SEAL FINISHING LINES

Graniten offers turn-key finishing lines for Blow Fill Seal (BFS) producers including Buffer systems, Digital Pad Printing, Leak detection and End of Line machinery to ensure both an efficient and reliable production.

END OF LINE CASEPACKER- PALLETIZERS

With great flexibility, different case packers/palletizers are used to pack your products in numerous variations of shipping boxes and palletize the boxes, all in a small footprint with close-to-zero (C2Z) changeover time.

Graniten’s case packers/palletizers offer a very open solution with almost no format parts. They also feature a unique short conversion time between different batches to increase the overall productivity. All of our case packer/palletizers are prepared to integrate different Track and Trace systems.

 HEALTHCARE & HOSPITAL AUTOMATION

Everyone has heard that AI is going to change the world and automation in general is expected to change the way we both live and work—in fact, it already has! In hospitals and healthcare, these technologies do, however, offer more than just fluffy words or commercial aspects; they are actually saving lives.

We, at Graniten, add a layer of smartness to already existing automation solutions such as robots, machines and hospital infrastructure. Using image recognition to identify and sort a larger variation of blood samples vials or having the medicine cabinet speaking to the electronic patient journal are two examples.

Graniten has vast and well-established experience in solutions for hospitals and is working with some of the biggest companies in the world to constantly evolve and create new solutions.

Here are some examples:

SAMPLE HANDLING

Automating the manual work of handling samples in a hospital lab; retrieving, storing, sorting, and transporting samples are taking a lot of time for the staff and also involve heavy, repetitive tasks that could lead to injuries. There is for sure a better use of highly skilled lab personnel.

UNIT DOSE MEDICATION

This unit dose is sometimes linked to closed loop medication but really aims to make automation possible. Instead of normal packaging you buy at the drugstore and use at home, the unit dose system is manufactured or split into one-dose-packages that can be used in automatic processes to create patient specific doses. Unit doses are easy to count, track and administrate without human hands. Used right, it saves time for clinical staff and minimize medication malpractice.

CLOSED LOOP MEDICATION

The concept is based on the idea that there is a closed process from the doctor prescribing the patient dose through to medication reaching the patient safely. With automation, there is drastically lower risk for potential tampering or possible mistakes.

There are several reasons why automation is highly important:

  • Increasing patient safety through minimizing malpractice.
  • Administering medicine on time is important.
  • Anti-theft
  • Lower cost of medicine and improved availability
