Thickness Gauge

The major function of the transportable BIRKAN thickness gauge is to control blankets, plates or underlay foils outside the printing press. This handy little tool is a classic among our worldwide clients and will serve you for many years. Please remember that you need to regularly check the thickness of your cylinder packing in order to prevent printing problems.

It is equipped with a special feeler for soft materials such as rubber printing blankets. The material is perfectly protected during measurement: Plane, round feelers with a contact area of 1 cm² allow a traceless thickness control. The analog dial is simple to read, with a graduation of 0.01 mm. A special spring provides invariable contact pressure, separately from any user.High durability can obtained through the robust construction with the well-built, ergonomic handle.
