Silica needle mat
A dense compressed cloth approx 10mm thick. Consisting of silica fibres that will take very high temperatures and pressures. Its relative density compared with S-glass means that it absorbs less noise, but it is very useful for confined spaces, or as a thermal barrier in conjunction with E or S-glass. Temperature range 750-1000C.
