FFS (flat film / tube)
In the FFS method, the packaging machine makes the film when filling the sack, FFS films have quickly gained a foothold over traditional plastic sacks in recent years. FFS films can be made both pleated and non-pleated. The FFS film is delivered to the customer packed in a roll as either a hose or a flat film. Typical products packaged in FFS films include:
soil and peat
fertilizers
plastic granules
The structure of the FFS film depends on the product to be packed in it, for example, a multi-layer film is used in mold and peat sacks. In this case, the inner surface of the film is black, which prevents light from entering the bag. To facilitate filling, the inner surface can be made slippery and the outer surface sticky, so that the sacks remain well on top of each other on the pallet.
