A customer of ours is the largest producer of bottled water in Saudi Arabia, providing custom drinking water that exactly meets their customers' expectations. The bottle design, label, color and size can be customized according to the customer's wishes. In Saudi Arabia, water is marketed as wine, it is a popular product in a saturated market.

Challenge

Royal Vaassen was asked to develop and supply a worry-free cap solution for their revolutionary new DROP bottle concept. You can drink this small single-use bottle in one go. A sustainable solution was therefore of paramount importance. Propagating the brand name also played an important role. All this had to be launched at very short notice.

What have we done

Thanks to our quick response and flexibility, we created a sustainable solution, including the required artwork. Due to the one-time use of the bottles, thin plastic was chosen. Where normally bottles are fitted with a screw cap, we produced a special lid for the DROP water bottles from thin aluminum foil. We also printed these to maximize the branding of the brand. Strong cooperation between the machine suppliers, in order to guarantee rapid acceptance of the machine, was central to this project. As a result, the customer was able to launch the product within a very tight timeframe and acquire a growing share of this new concept within the large bottled water market in the Middle East. The concept proved so successful that it was subsequently rolled out in other regions.
