The Pryor PortaDot P130-30 is a robust and reliable handheld marking machine with a marking window of 130mm x 30mm. It provides a fast and portable method of dot-peen marking, otherwise known as dot marking. 

The 4000 Series Controller puts full control of marking and traceability at your fingertips. Ideal for marking permanent alphanumeric, logo or 2D barcode information onto high variety, immobile, large, or heavy components.

Portable, Robust and Reliable Dot Peen Marking Machine

The Pryor PortaDot P130-30 is a highly robust and reliable handheld dot peen marking machine with a marking window measuring 130mm x 30mm (5.1 inches x 1.2 inches). The handheld dot machine is suitable for engraving unique identification numbers, manufacturer information, logos or 2D barcode information onto a wide range of material shapes and sizes. The added advantage of the handheld device is the ease with which it marks large, heavy, or immobile parts.

The PortaDot dot marking machine can permanently mark most engineering materials up to a maximum hardness of 62HRc. Find out more about Rockwell hardness here.

The PortaDot P130-30 is supplied as standard with a carbide stylus measuring 50mm in length x 4mm in diameter x 90° tip angle (product reference code EP119S45) and a 3-meter cable connecting the marking head to the machine controller.

PortaDot Machine Controller 

The PortaDot is fully programmable using the Pryor Series 4000 Controller. The controller provides a full range of marking and control features with an optional battery powered version of the controller available for working in a range of external environments.

The Series 4000 Controller allows complete control over mark output from depth settings to spacing of the dots, character font and size, arc marking, Data Matrix marking, serial numbering, time and date marking and various other options. The software is easy to use, and layouts can be saved for repeatability and consistency. No PC connection is required; however this can be enabled if so desired. 

Serial number marking is completely flexible with the 4000 Controller, boasting a range of features to suit different products and environments. Serial numbers can be generated by the controller (automatic increment or decrement after successful marking), transferred from a separate system via the USB memory stick interface or imported via a direct connection to a manufacturing ERP system. Marking can be completed offline with the option to transfer or backup data later.

Extra Stability: For increased stability during the marking process, P130-30 users can purchase an Electromagnetic Clamp, consisting of two powerful electromagnetic bars and a switch to clamp the PortaDot to the marking surface
