The Pryor PortaDot P50-25 is a versatile, lightweight handheld marking machine with a marking window of 50mm x 25mm. It provides a fast and portable method of dot-peen marking, otherwise known as dot marking.
The 4000 Series Controller puts full control of marking and traceability at your fingertips. Ideal for marking permanent alphanumeric, logo or 2D barcode information onto high variety, immobile, large, or heavy components.

Portable, Lightweight Dot Peen Marking Machine
The Pryor PortaDot P50-25 is a versatile, lightweight handheld dot peen marking machine with a marking window measuring 50mm x 25mm – suitable for engraving identification, logo or 2D barcode information onto a wide range of material shapes and sizes. The added advantage of the handheld device is the ease with which it marks large, heavy or immobile parts.
The PortaDot dot marking machine can permanently mark most engineering materials up to a maximum hardness of 62HRc.

The P50-25 is supplied with quick-change face masks for marking on curved or flat surfaces, a 3-meter cable and carbide stylus:

Dot Peen Machine Controller
The PortaDot is fully programmable using the Pryor Series 4000 Controller. The controller provides a full range of marking and control features with an optional battery powered version of the controller available for working in a range of external environments.
The Controller allows complete control over mark output from depth settings to spacing of the dots, character font and size, arc marking, Data Matrix marking, serial numbering, time and date marking and various other options. The software is easy to use, and layouts can be saved for repeatability and consistency. No PC connection is required; however this can be enabled if so desired.
Serial number marking is completely flexible with the 4000 Controller, boasting a range of features to suit different products and environments. Serial numbers can be generated by the 4000 Controller (automatic increment or decrement after successful marking), transferred from a separate system via the USB memory stick interface or imported via a direct connection to a manufacturing ERP system. Marking can be completed offline with the option to transfer or backup data later.
PortaDot Parts and Accessories
To access difficult to reach spaces, Portadot operators can purchase an Extended Face Mask which includes a 100mm extended nosepiece and 100mm Stylus (kit reference 10049566).
If you are using a PortaDot in a production line environment, or one short of space, the PortaDot balancer is an ideal accessory for suspending the P50-25. The balancer is supplied with a bracket (part reference 10027990).
For increased flexibility and users wanting to mark various sized components, Pryor offers an optional column and base for converting the P50-25 into a benchtop machine (part reference MMLD2).
PortaDot users can purchase longer cables for attaching the P50-25 to the 4000 Controller with the option of a 6 meter cable (part reference LD2KIT04) or a 10 meter cable (part reference LD2KIT05).
The PortaDot can be added to a trolley for extra mobility and for secure storage (part reference 10032043 and 10039227 for a trolley cover).
