To make the consumption of food products easier and more satisfying, the most successful containers have assumed shapes that are difficult to handle with traditional cup packaging machines. Some examples are plastic cups for yogurt or dessert or for soups to be consumed hot. For these containers, handling must not include thrusts or accumulations but be based on positive grip and transfer with pick & place systems. In this way the containers can be grouped in the desired pattern and packaged in a plastic or cardboard tray. The robot integrated in the cup packaging machine Zambelli allows to contain the overall dimensions and reduce the movement of containers and packages to the full advantage of efficiency and reliability.

In the cup packaging machine, the package is then wrapped and heat-shrunk to protect it and guarantee its integrity. Zambelli technology makes it possible to reduce the thickness of the film, obtaining savings and eliminating waste.
